By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

By Miles offers a cheaper and fairer way to pay for car insurance. It records the miles driven, via an easy to install tracker, and details the cost of each journey made. I received a refund of over £100 on my first year's insurance followed by a very competitive renewal price. It's a no brainer! Reviewed on: 22nd August 2025

The couple of times I have had to speak to someone on the phone, they have been knowledgable and pleased to assist. I drive very little around town and very occasionally further afield, but the car is useful. Only paying a basic amount plus mileage driven is an innovative way to pay for car insurance. I have been with by miles for a year and I am very pleased with the service I have received. They have always been helpful and understanding when I have had any queries. Their app is also informative and helpful. I do not do many miles now as I am retired and their policy they offer is perfect for me by paying for miles I use. Reviewed on: 21st August 2025
