By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Just like a water meter where you pay for what you use By miles charge you per mile the more you do the greater the risk so why pay for miles you are not doing if you are a low mileage motorist and risk you are not encountering.
