By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Upfront cost was cheapest on the market in 2020 when I was looking, and as I knew I would only be driving shorter distances, it was a no brainer. However the Miles are capped so even when you drive longer distances, your journeys are still affordable. Renewed this year, as once again Upfront costs were best on the market. Customer service team is fantastic at communicating if there have been any issues with the tracker, App is easy to use, and always get an email stating how much your monthly payment will be. Great for lower mileage users. Especially during the pandemic where my mileage reduced even further. Great communication regarding th payment amount each month. Haven't had to make a claim thankfully so can't comment on that part of the process. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
