By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

This insurance group is amazing. When you only use your car for Weekly supermarket trips & the odd holiday, paying for standard insurance seems financially excessive. I commute to London on public transport & so for me it was the difference between keeping my car for the grocery trips or getting rid as I just couldn’t justify the cost of insuring it. Easy To Understand Policy and Friendly Customer Service

I called to query the policy and the representative was extremely professional and very polite and helpful. He explained everything to me so clearly and I instantly bought the insurance just a minute after ending the phone call. This suits me right down to the ground and is value for money. As my annual mileage is generally low anyway - once I’ve paid the basic ‘parking’ part of the insurance - I only pay for each mile I drive, which is very reasonable. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

Perfect for the casual driver

I was a casual driver before the pandemic, and then all of a sudden I had no where to go! ByMiles really has come into its own, and for that I renewed with them too! The app is smart yet simple, with helpful features such as finding your car and reminding you if you entered the congestion zone. Things you simply wouldn’t get from any other provider.
