By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Had never heard of By Miles before and was intrigued. The quote was reasonable and I liked the idea of being in control (to an extent) of what I pay. There was an issue with the policy start date in my email and the customer service was impeccable! Thank you. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

Best car insurance concept to date

I have not had to make a claim, however as far as cost, mileage calculation, real time information on the app, and collecting payments by DD so far, this is the best insurance policy I have had so far. By Miles has to be the insurance world’s best kept secret. I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t want to use it - not only are prices great (especially in a Covid-restricted world), but the quality of the app, customer service etc are excellent.
