By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Much cheaper for same cover.

About time there was a pay as you go model (like every other service)

Pay as you go in common in other areas, this is the way forward for those who don't want to subsidise those who drive a lot. very simple and slick implementation but with real live phone help (for those not used to online help) to guide you while you get used to it. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

I only use the car for short journeys most of the time which is why I chose by miles, for the first time in 20+ years in had to make a claim and it was handled quickly with no fuss. And I have no complaints about the premium either, I save around £ 200 Reviewed on: 9th September 2020
