By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Helpful customer service on the most part

On the whole my experience with By Miles has been a positive one. They offer competitively priced car insurance. On occasions, responses from their customer service team have not been as quick as they could have been, but when they do respond they are professional in their tone and message. Would recommend. I think all other insurance companies should follow the business model of By Miles and switch from predatory tactics of penalizing the most unfortunate people in our society for what should be considered a necessity : Driving .
