Cash back refused as transaction was 4 hours too early

I made a payment on 28/02/25 at 19:29 and as I had already reached my cash back limit it would not give me cash back on that transaction. I tried to contact their customer services but got no help at all and just a scripted line about how I was outside my allowance for that month. If I had made the payment 4 hours later it would have counted yet no gesture of goodwill was offered by Chase and they simply refused to do anything about it. I asked several times for the matter to be escalated to a senior manager and this to was refused/ignored. I am now starting to wonder if I should stop using them as my day to day bank and find an alternative. Reviewed on: 1st March 2025

Chase makes managing finances easy and simple

Secure bank card that can be used almost anywhere, well anywhere I have been anyway, and you only get charged FX spot rate when using abroad, no hidden charges like other providers. Proactive in fraud prevention

When I needed to make a fairly significant bank transfer to a new vendor, the fraud team contacted me immediately, in person, to verify it was a genuine transaction & check I wasn’t the victim of fraud.
