Interest rates are poor following introductory offer...

Interest rates are poor following introductory offers compared with some other banks. Also, competitions to win things rather than provide better rates puts me off staying with the bank longer term. Reviewed on: 5th September 2025

After the first year, interest dropped like a stone

As a new customer, my experience in the first year was good with a decent promotional rate of interest applied monthly to the savings account. Cashback on the current account was also worthwhile. But on the first anniversary, savings interest dropped like a stone and cashback earnings became too restrictive to have much value. The debit card that has no numbers on it is good in a way but that feature doesn't stop it from being used as a contactless card. I've moved most of my savings elsewhere for better interest.
