Chip - The easiest way to save!

An excellent and simple way to save without feeling it! The app works away in the background saving drive and drabs until voila! You have saved enough for your goal! Now with the highest market interest rate and new exciting investment opportunities the only way is up for Chip! Reviewed on: 10th March 2021

Competition Leading Interest rate

Chip offer a 1.25%APR. However this is not compounded and is paid as a bonus rather than into the savings account. The cap is also £5K which suits day-to-day savers but won't replace your ISA. The app is a little less intuitive than I'd like. Some of the buttons "don't work". You cannot just turn off the autosave feature as the button would not activate. Instead I had to set my minimum balance to £100,000 to stop the autosave feature. If you need an app to squirrel money away from you, then I'm sure it's of use. But this feature was not for me. The best service I've ever used

I struggled for years to save money after finishing university, as I started my independent life living away from parents, working, and having to pay a lot in outgoings. I discovered Chip in 2019 and since then I can't imagine being without it. Chip has helped me in some desperate times of need from using the money I had squirreled away, paying for the odd occasional treat, and has been helping me to save forwards a deposit to put down on a future house as a first-time buyer. I've recommended this service to my family and friends who have all made huge savings within months as well! It's helped me so much, I highly recommend it to anyone who finds they're in a similar situation to what I was in before using Chip. Reviewed on: 10th March 2021

Saving without thinking

A great, easy to use app that I have been with since the start

As well as a user of chip, it was my first step into investing. It's a simple concept of automatically saving a little but ensuring you can afford it and adjusting the save amounts automatically using AI (a research interest of mine in my professional life).
