Don't care about normal savers anymore

I joined chip at the start quite excited about helping ordinary people like me to save small amounts, but the last 2 years they have changed, started charging for saving money with them, and are only interested in large savers. Feel betrayed, would not recommend them Reviewed on: 24th January 2024

Reply from Chip Hi Peter - thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and a rating. When it comes to charges, I'll be happy to list these here. There are two plans, Chip Basic which is free and ChipX which is either £4.99 for every 28 days (paid annually at £65.05), or £5.99 if paid in installments every 28 days. A breakdown of our plans can be found here https://www.getchip.uk/pricing. The only other charges we have in-app are for autosaves or recurring saves charged at £0.45 per save and £0.25 per save respectively. These are free if you're on the ChipX plan. Please note that these are optional features that would need to be set up by yourself in-app. Please also note there are no fees for saving manually.
