Review of the Coverwise, Single Trip Travel Insurance:

have used Coverwise many times for travel insurance...

have used Coverwise many times for travel insurance and whilst the prices are good there is a reason. Wo betide you if you make a claim! I claimed on 9/10/24. They will do all they can to delay a resolution and make it extremely difficult all along the way. Constantly ignoring information, requesting multiple times the same information. Taking ages to respond and have the nerve to blame it on high volumes of claims!!! Oh so that makes it ok does it. You pay. You claim but don’t expect a payout as we will wear you down eventually so you give up! Speak to us? No chance, put through to a heavily accented USA citizen who insists you are at fault! Was told by Bernard at AXA that even though I hadn’t been to see my doctor since 2012 before this incident I MUST provide 2 years past history!!! He was like a cracked record repeating this and would not listen when I explained how could I? I downloaded and sent the information from an active NHS account from the portal. It is clearly stated it will be accepted. The documentation sent frm the NHS portal shows quite clearly that i had not had any medical needs since 2012 until 2024!!! Crooks

They are crooks. Before you buy an insurance get a lawyer to read the fine print. I took an insurance from that company for a trip to Cuba. My wife got sick (a life threatening condition). When I came back to claim the money I was overwhelmed by the paperwork they asked. I actually had to pay extra money to get medical certificates. The outcome was that they declined my claim because my wife had an operation 3 years ago. Although her condition in cuba according to doctor reports was unrelated to the surgery she had 3 years ago they declined to pay the huge medical bill in Cuba. They said if I I had read the fine print I should have told them about that surgery. Their insurance policy is worthless. They are a reckless company Reviewed on: 4th June 2017

Quick and easy service at a competitive price.. However no discount for loyalty

Quick and easy sign up and system, at a great price. I have used Coverwise 3 times now! However, I would like to be rewarded for my loyalty, and although the rates are still great! They have not gone down year on year as I would like. Still a great customer experience. Reviewed on: 16th November 2015
