Great experience with Cynergy Ban...

We have had a very happy experience with Cynergy Bank, I was bit nervous at first as I'll be honest, I'd never heard of them but they have been great, answered all quotations quickly and professionally. We are very pleased with our experience so far. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2026

Good but keep an eye on easy access rates

A good online bank offering with both easy access and fixed accounts offered. Rates can be market leading at times but then fall back when the banks funding targets are met (what a surprise). The main complaint I have is that easy access accounts are offered in issues and if a new issue has a higher interest rate than the one you have you have to spot this by checking the website and move the money to the new issue yourself. It would be better to be told when a higher rate is offered in a new issue or even that a new issue is out and the rate it offers so you can decide what to do. This would reduce their profit but improve the customer view of the bank (at least for me). This is why my review is not 5 star as I find the bank not giving information to make it easier to move to higher easy access rates annoying. One interesting point is that if you open more than 14 easy access account the system goes back and reuses the first account number you had, so that you have two accounts over different time periods with the same account number. Not the end of the world but you need to be aware that if you have gone round the account numbers then an account number may actually cover separate 'accounts' that were opened and closed on different dates and that you can see statements for all these accounts under one account number. If you are aware of this it becomes much easier to work out what each statement covers. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2026

Whilst I have had no one to one contact with the bank, their online banking services have been excellent. the rate of interest is better than others and the extent of good communication is commendable. Making transaction on line are very easy and prompt. This ofcourse compares equal to other banks. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2026

Many years of exemplary service

I have had savings accounts with Cynergy Bank since a few years before their name change from Bank of Cyprus. They have maintained competitive interest rates in that time, so there has been little need to look elsewhere. Cynergy has always been responsive to customer feedback, improving their login security in a way that is effective yet convenient, for example. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2026
