Disappointing dark ages customer service

I have opened a Trust savings account and generally the service I have received is very good. I was told that transactions can only be made using a passbook which I accepted and it is not accessible online. I then received a letter dated 28th January saying that I can register and view the savings account online. Georgia told me this morning that I should not have been sent this letter. I feel that the DBS is living in the dark ages in relation to their Trust accounts. If money is paid in to the account I am not informed and apart from a phone call have no means of finding out. I now have to send the passbook back for it to be updated. Come on DBS, wake up , we are in 2025, it is not 1980! Reviewed on: 21st February 2025

Good customer service. Disappointing intererst rate.

The 1 Year fixed interest rate was good but the interest rate options on maturity were disappointing, being far below the BoE rate. Customer Service was good and I especially appreciated being able to speak to a human being (as opposed to on online chatbot). Reviewed on: 7th February 2025

User Friendly Website.

I found opening an online account very easy through their user friendly website. Their customer service is excellent. Easy and quick to access with very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly advisors. Good easy access account.

I have an instant-access savings account with the Dudley BS which I operate online. I've had no problems with it and it gives a good rate of interest. I don't live in the area of the Dudley BS's branches, so I've no face-to-face experience. However, I had a query which I resolved by phone. The advisor was well-mannered and helpful.
