Ethical, and so Supportive !

I love saving with a building society that does specific, practical things for the environment, and for housing (both so badly needed). Ethical - no investments in bombs or fossil fuels! The people who work for it are lovely! When I ring up to ask questions, I always get patient, friendly help and clear answers. Sure, the interest rate offered is modest - but this is outweighed by the peace of mind Ecology Building Society offers its customers. Reviewed on: 10th November 2024

Fantastic social value

I have saved with Ecology Building Society for over 25 years. Service is first rate. Most importantly I can see that my money is being used for innovative building purposes. Over the years Ecology has demonstrated how renovations, new builds and conversions can be built to the highest environmental standards. As a saver I have seen through regular updates some of these innovations. I care deeply about environmental protection, mitigation of climate change and good employment practices. Ecology is outstanding in all of these areas, with a commitment to keep pay ratios below 8 (which they achieve) and leading by example in the construction and maintenance of their own premises. So, ethical and environmentally sound practices, ethical and environmentally sound lending policies and good savings rates. The best in the banking sector. Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

I've been a customer for decades and been very pleased with their range of products - I think it's now more vital than ever to make sure our money protects rather than threatens our environment that sustains us - not to mention sustains all economic activity! Great organisation, worth supporting

Ecology Building Society would never claim to offer the most competitive rates, but you can be sure your savings are safe as environmentally-friendly houses, and they are being well used to fund innovative sustainable building projects across the UK.
