Ethical, and so Supportive !

I love saving with a building society that does specific, practical things for the environment, and for housing (both so badly needed). Ethical - no investments in bombs or fossil fuels! The people who work for it are lovely! When I ring up to ask questions, I always get patient, friendly help and clear answers. Sure, the interest rate offered is modest - but this is outweighed by the peace of mind Ecology Building Society offers its customers. Reviewed on: 10th November 2024

Green bricks and mortar

My wife and I have been savers with EBS for over 10 years and have never had any cause for complaint on the standard of service. They seem to be well-run, conscientious, aware of their environmental and social impact and it's good to know that our money is funding high quality, environmentally-sound building projects. A high ethical standard

I've been impressed with Ecology Building Society's commitment to financing small-scale projects that have a beneficial impact on the environment. We read about them in Ethical consumer magazine and chose to invest some of our savings with them. It's been a really positive experience at a time when there is a dire need for good news. They care...

... by providing ethical ways to invest; by letting me know how they use my money to 'build' ethically - ensuring the environment is improved rather than destroyed. And they keep me informed of about the genuinely exciting things that they do! When they need to change details of my investment with them, they ensure I know what the changes are, why they are made - and they give me the choice of how I am to be kept informed. From every which way - the Ecology BS is what we want and need

I attended an AGM with Ecology. From the way they chose where to meet, the encouragement to use public transport or car share, the very building materials of their offices and their completely transparent sharing of data from all of the questions asked - like who is the least paid member, the highest - every aspect of business is completely thought through. That the Ecology Building Society subscribe to the triple lock of 'people planet profit' is absolutely superb. I cant rate them highly enough and they should be celebrated. Superb customer service, unbeatable Green credentials

I've held my regular savings with EBS for many years. Their printed and online information is clear and easy to find, and the service has always been super efficient and fast.
