Ethical, and so Supportive !

I love saving with a building society that does specific, practical things for the environment, and for housing (both so badly needed). Ethical - no investments in bombs or fossil fuels! The people who work for it are lovely! When I ring up to ask questions, I always get patient, friendly help and clear answers. Sure, the interest rate offered is modest - but this is outweighed by the peace of mind Ecology Building Society offers its customers. Reviewed on: 10th November 2024

Reliable ethical banking

Very supportive building society, I save with them to be ethical and sustainable. Their IT is catching up with that of the major high street banks, but their customer service is great and you can rely on their banking services. Reviewed on: 14th March 2022

Helping people and the planet

Ecology provides me with a method of financing a rejuvenation in housing stock abd also reducing the carbon footprint of accomodation. I also receive a fair return on my investment. It's a win, win, win situation! Reviewed on: 14th March 2022

Caring for customers not just profit.

Despite the low interest rate the society has kept it's word and did maintain the 1% interest on one of it's accounts I fully expected they could have called a force majeur senario but honesty and integrety is what builds a good reputation. I am proud to be a member and supporting their green credentials too at a much needed time. Reviewed on: 13th March 2022

Ethical saving

I have been saving with Ecology since 1990 mostly via their ISAs. It is the greenest of all my investments, so I know that my money is being put to good use. I enjoy reading their newsletters. It is the only financial organisation whose AGMs I attend, because they are informative, educational & great fun. Reviewed on: 13th March 2022
