Simple but effective

Although they lack high street locations they have the best customer service available and you can use the post office to pay in cheques etc Reviewed on: 22nd November 2019

Great bank

1st Class Customer Service

Any time we have had to contact First Direct their customer service has been 1st class. At Christmas we were unfortunate enough to be the victims of online fraud. First Direct were as usual professional and efficient and made a very stressful situation slightly less so. Reviewed on: 13th February 2022

Still the best after all these years

I switched to first direct in January 1997 after years of poor service from a number of high street banks. first direct's customer service has always been excellent and never let me down, which is why I have not switched to another provider, which I'm happy to do in all things if I'm not happy or feel that I can get a better deal. All banks should be like FD

Have banked with FD from its inception, and have never experienced any problems, always there too help in a very friendly & courteous manner 24/7. No menu too wade through, a human being answers the phone promptly. And their online banking is spot on. Reviewed on: 11th February 2022

Retail Banking At It's Best

After banking with other retail banks, let's say our expectations were not high! We opened a joint account and were pleasantly surprised by First Direct's excellent banking service. We have been customers for 7 years now and have no wish to move anywhere else. Excellent customer service, by humans who answer within 3 rings, excellent banking products and an on-line banking service that is completely stress free and a joy to use.
