Great Trading App

Great experience all round

The app is super easy to use, lots of consideration about the user experience. Because of this, it puts me at ease using the platform compared to their competitors. There's no jargon and I feel I can really take control of my finances. The customer has been great also. The customer service team have been really helpful and proactive about supporting my moving my SIPP to Freetrade. The content they produce is great too. It's very accessible, easy to understand and the tone is like I'm talking to a friend. It's not patronising or "out of touch". Typically, other places would publish something that is rather dry or a little "hello, fellow kids". Also the range of topics covered keeps it interesting. One more step and could be excellent

Overall the experience I had the platform was great. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use. The customer service is amazing. The range of shares offered is huge. The only downsides to me are you not to be able to buy international shares by unit instead of buying it by amount and the FX rates are quite high. Reviewed on: 10th February 2022

Absolutely best in class

Having looked at all the more traditional brokers (and their fees!) Freetrade stood out as the only serious neo-broker that also offered ISA and SIPP products (essential for those who are self-employed!). The other neo-brokers seem to be focused on day-trading and meme stocks, so it is refreshing to see a start up like this encouraging good habits and respectful dialogue with its users Reviewed on: 9th February 2022

Great for UK Stocks

Overall, one of the best apps for UK Stocks. You need to be aware of the FX fees, so it's not one for regular trading of EU and US stocks, but if you're primarily trading UK stocks, or if you've got a "buy and hold" mentality with international stocks, it's perfect. In terms of UX, there are a few things I'd like to change. I don't like how they over-smooth the graphs when viewing a stock, and there are various improvements I can think of for helping users track stock performance in greater detail - I use a separate tool for this - but competing apps generally don't have these features either, so can't really mark them down. Hopefully, more features will come in time. All in all it's a solid offering. Most importantly I've never had any issues with either buying or selling stocks... which is what the app is primarily for :-) Reviewed on: 8th February 2022
