Excellent personal service

I am a member of Glasgow Credit Union and have been for a number of years I had been turned down by a few other lenders for a mortgage probably because of my age or some obscure scoring system I approached GCU I received a quick appointment ( pre Covid19 ) I received a very in depth friendly discussion of my requirements and needs I discussed a few options of properties I had looked at what I could afford the repayments the type of mortgage product that would best suit me I had discussions about affordability of the mortgage, lifestyle questions , income , future income, outgoings , inflation and the size of mortgage I could afford and still be able to have a comfortable living, the staff knowledge was second to none and I have had a few interviews ! Opportunities for all

I managed to get on the property ladder with Glasgow Credit Union, after discovering that my high street bank had messed up when I opened my account with them about 12 years previous and meant I had no credit history due to their error. This would have made it difficult to get a mortgage through a high street bank. But Glasgow Credit Union were able to help as I was able to afford a mortgage and 11 years on and I'm in such a great position financially and Glasgow Credit Union helped me get there! Seamless services

My wife and i took our first ever mortgage out with GCU, we have accessed their loan facility still allowing us to save and although the loan has been cleared we continue to both save every month with the GCU. Each service being accessed may have been different, however, the service from the GCU team remained the same; fantastic, understanding and insightful based on our personal circumstances. Helpful, friendly company

From start to finish, Glasgow credit union were fantastic in helping us secure our first mortgage. Our advisor was always on hand to answer any questions. My mortgage advisor was extremely helpful, provided me with all the information and answered my calls and questions all times of the day, even the stupid ones. He provided excellent customer service. Made my experience of buying my first home so quick and stress free! Could not have asked for a better place to walk me through purchasing my first home. Would recommend to anyone.
