SVR not come down after 3 interest rate cuts. SVR not come down after 3 interest rate cuts. Savings rates have come down. SVR goes up immediately interest rates go up. Gross profiteering imo. Reviewed on: 25th March 2025

At such a daunting and uncertain times for the mortgage market, I am so very pleased we chose to mortgage our new home with The Hanley. From our very first enquiry, all the bumps along the way and right up until the very end, Jane Longmore was profressional, warm and helpful the entire way through. Perfect Services! Transparent, clearly explained, timely and friendly.

From the very beginning of the process to having our mortgage raised, until the very end of completion, the service we received was perfect. We stayed with the same adviser - Jane - throughout the whole process, which gave us confidence that we hadn't been lost or forgotten in "a system". Jane carefully and thoroughly took us through every step of the way, of the process, in a timely way, explaining why she needed to know the answers to what she was asking us. Where there were options, she explained them, giving us the possible pros and cons of any particular path of direction we were choosing to go. We did not feel overwhelmed as we had several different conversations over a period of time, and did not move on until we felt satisfied that we completely understood what we were agreeing too. We never felt rushed to make a decision, or silly to ask any question. Jane took her time in explaining anything we asked, without assuming we understood! She was very kind and patient from the beginning to end of the process. She had great integrity, always telling us what was going to happen and when, and it always did! We were delighted with the whole service, and couldn't fault Jane or Hanley Economic Building Society over anything. Thank you for making everything so pleasant and straight forward. Great rate, personal service

I hadn't appreciated quite what a faff remortgaging to a different company is, but having applied for a very competitive rate from Hanley, was guided through the whole process expertly. Advisor Lana was helpful and responsive throughout - I particularly appreciated her chasing the solicitor at the end, to get the remortgage over the line in time. Personal service and great value

Lana Beech the mortgage advisor dealt with us throughout our house move over a period of 9 months, from the earliest days of switching products on our old house, then considering what we could borrow if we moved, some grilling by us over the detail of how that would be affected by job moves, some last minute tweaks to the amount borrowed, to the point of exchange - all with the same friendly person by email and phone.
