Hargreaves SIPP has a wide range of investments.

I've run my SIPP using Hargreaves for 7 years. I have a wide portfolio covering many individual shares and unit trusts ETFs which aren't available on ofter platforms. Withdrawing money works well too. Reviewed on: 20th August 2026

Five star tech, one star for withdrawals

Easy to transfer funds in. Takes too long to draw out tax free cash. Recent change to charging structure makes platform more expensive if you want to trade. Reviewed on: 13th June 2026

Generally good to deal with, but it would be better if messages where Emailed rather than having to log in to read messages. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026

Online pension transfers broken. No fix in sight

I wanted to transfer a smallish DB pot to a SIPP. HL came out top for range of sustainable funds and are a big player. Attempted their online pension transfer, which fell over to a "website currently unavailable" message. Called helpline. Apparently it's been down "for a few weeks". Any date for a fix? "as soon as possible. We don't know when. Try this paper form instead" . Really not what I was looking for, for efficient online SIPP management. Clearly not a priority for them to fix. Nor do they even bother to warn you at the outset. Reviewed on: 13th October 2025
