I put In a claim that was never dealt with I emailed and called may times with absolutely no response for them to tell me, they closed the case without informing me! Terrible customer service Reviewed on: 21st February 2026

Great Customer Service

Home and Contents Insurance

The price is generally competitive but last year my policy costs went up by over £400 then this year, it dropped by over £100 - there seems no logic to it. I did stick with Home Protect despite the large increase as it is a safe brand. Reviewed on: 17th February 2026

Does what it says on the tin

Does what it says on the tin… Good price for what it is. It was all done online, but I’ve never had a reason to speak to customer service. I’m sure if I’d needed to, they’d be good, too. Reviewed on: 14th February 2026

When policy renew came through at nearly double the...

When policy renew came through at nearly double the premium even though no claims. I used chat service where they were unable to bring down the cost . I made it plainly obvious I wouldn’t be renewing in the conversation but because I didn’t use the word cancel I got sent a letter telling me I owed money as I had cancelled direct debit. You have to opt out of renewal in very small print if you don’t they will renew policy without your permission then charge you cancellation fee.
