Cancellation 'Administration' charges horrendous!

We cancelled the renewed policy just out of the cooling off period as we sold the house We paid just over £20 p/m (1 payment made) on an empty house awaiting sale process.. We have now been told that we are being charged £90 in cancellation 'fees' for administration cost! 4 1/2 months premium to put a tick in the box!!! What a ridiculous charge! One, maybe two months for an early cancellation - not 4 1/2!!! Insurance was handy, but getting out of it very costly - will not be coming back. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2026

Extremely lengthy, 3 calls I think of 40-60 mins.

Extremely lengthy, 3 calls I think of 40-60 mins. so long and difficult that I was credited with small sums of compensation.The first contact resulted in incorrect listing of some items to be taken out of house. Not convinced that the person fully understood what I had said. transcripts are available. One call was disconnected somehow, and I had to initiate the continuation finding that I had to start all over again. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026

The renewal process was seamless.

The renewal process was seamless. Starting with a renewal reminder, then receiving the new premium which was actually less than last year’s premium, followed by getting the renewal confirmation with all necessary information. Faultless! Reviewed on: 9th April 2026
