When policy renew came through at nearly double the premium even though no claims. I used chat service where they were unable to bring down the cost . I made it plainly obvious I wouldn’t be renewing in the conversation but because I didn’t use the word cancel I got sent a letter telling me I owed money as I had cancelled direct debit. You have to opt out of renewal in very small print if you don’t they will renew policy without your permission then charge you cancellation fee.
