OK NOT AMAZING

HSBC is generally

HSBC is generally a decent bank to hold a regular account with. I would recommend the regular checking account as it is no worse than others. I think HSBC has an excellent website with the exception of having to use a key fob to log in every time. I do believe this is something they are in the process of changing although I think transactions will be limited without the use of the key for safety reasons. Other than that, the banks actual website is excellent for reviewing recent transactions and viewing your monthly statements. I also find HSBC to be a good bank for transferring money, especially overseas as needed. They will store your information if you chose so one does not have to reenter all the information on a transaction they plan to make more than one time. Bill pay is also good as the money can be immediately paid into receipients account or can be set up to do so at a later date. Reviewed on: 27th April 2015

Great bank but few concerns

HSBC is a great bank and provides more rewards / interest when compared to other banks.Also the bank to bank transfers are great as they don't charge you a single penny. However I dont like the new changes they made to bank to bank transfer . I don't understand why we need to download the app or have a security device to make outside bank transfers. Also they don't have any locations in TX where we can go personally and resolve our issues. Reviewed on: 17th April 2015

HSBC is one of the best bank one can ever find. you will get the best interest for your loan without any hassle. you are going to have a pleasant experience with this bank in near future, provided you are gonna choose HSBC. I'd highly recommend this.

Great institution with a great customer service experience. Their way of doing things is nice and refreshing. Keep it simple and have some patience. If you're looking for a no hassle banking experience. i would highly recommend this. Reviewed on: 13th April 2015

OK but not for everyone

I took out the HSBC Advance account as it enabled me to get a preferential rate on my mortgage. I also find the customer service slightly better and think calls get answered more quickly then the non paying account i previously had. The benefits the account offers such as Break down cover are OK as they cover both myself and my wife given its a joint account, however we have never used them. If I moved my mortgage to another provider I would be tempted to downgrade the account to a normal account with no fee. Reviewed on: 6th October 2014
