Everyone automatically gets a membership savings account when they join the credit union. For the instant access accounts, HEY Credit Union members need to keep at least £1 minimum balance to retain their membership.

HEYU : YOU ARE AMAZING !

I joined this credit union after I started in the civil service. Had never thought about it before until a representative attended. I have never drawn any money out, I use it for savings. I pay in a regular amount each month and I am watching it grow ! I don't miss the deduction from my salary at all as it is so regular. I intend to continue my payments when I finish work at the end of the year. This will be a little nest egg for me, when all other channels run out during my retirement, if they run out. If I never use it, it is a very welcome surprise for a family member when the time comes. So very glad I was introduced to it. I have recommended a few colleagues to start this as you do not miss the monthly deposit at all. Reviewed on: 9th May 2025

Helped me manage my savings

My employer provided savings via my monthly salary direct from my pay. I have never really been a saver however this approach and the services the credit union helped me save for key events. Reviewed on: 9th July 2025
