Everyone automatically gets a membership savings account when they join the credit union. For the instant access accounts, HEY Credit Union members need to keep at least £1 minimum balance to retain their membership.

Staff are always polite and helpful.

Staff are always polite and helpful. They explain things in simple terms for you to understand. The Christmas savers works so good for me to help save to buy what I need for Christmas as I can't withdraw any money until 1st November. Reviewed on: 30th April 2025

Putting people back in to banking

Banking with HEYCU is such a pleasure. No more impersonal call centres where you are just another number. When I ring or email HEYCU I receive an individualised, personal response that is so incredibly friendly. This is good, old fashioned banking where the bank knows and values their customers. Having worked in a bank in the past I fully appreciate the genuine care that HEYCU shows to the customers. HEYCU is fantastic for customer care and shines as a beacon that more banks should follow. With them since the beginning

Been with them since the beginning when I had the need of an occasional loan. Now use them for holiday savings etc. and like to think my savings help others in need. Excellent Organisation

They provide a place where people can easily save as part of a like minded group and if needed can borrow at low rates. The credit union has expanded across the area to provide it's excellent service as an option to high interest loans. Reviewed on: 19th June 2021
