Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Great cover for medical issues

I went to Just Travel when we had a mix of pre-existing conditions and an undiagnosed one which most companies would not cover. Just Travel were able to cover all the pre existing issues, including a cancer, as well as having a work-around for the undiagnosed one, and did so for a much lower cost than we were expecting. They have never let me down.

They have never let me down. They look for insurance brokers that do the best deals. As of late because of age I have been going for medical only for my husband and I to reduce the cost and they have been able to find brokers that will do that for me Reviewed on: 7th October 2025
