Review of the Just Travel Cover, Travel insurance:

Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Excellent company

First time that I have used Just Travel, I would definitely recommend. In the month of August me and my husband went to Kenya and had a three day safari booked. When we arrived we had no suitcases. Needed to buy new clothes, deodorant, sunscreen etc…. To go in the safari. When we return to England the customer service were really helpful and put me in the right track to getting a refund. I made a mistake, I put the wrong PIR number from the airline into the application. As soon as I phoned because I hadn’t heard anything, Abby was excellent and sorted it out. Every day Abby would email until we received the refund. Just being able to talk to a person on the phone is brilliant, don’t get that very often nowadays. Reviewed on: 3rd October 2023

Best price.

There were 3 levels of cover. I compared each level with other companies on a like for like basis and found Just Travel was the best price. It was so reasonable I had to check to make sure both myself and my partner were covered. Reviewed on: 3rd October 2023

Great Policy Cover

I renewed my European policy cover this year as the policy is underwritten by a very reputable company (AIG). Just Travel provided good cover for me last year and a like for like policy for 2023/2024 was only £15.00 more than I paid last year. I can’t comment on the service provided as I had no need to make a claim last year. I hope the same applies this year. Competitive Premium Cost

I found the customer agent was extremely polite, patient, and helpful. During the conversation I felt valued , and that my needs were understood. Owing to my health and age, insurance costs are exceptionally high. I compared several Travel Insurance Companies, and Just Travel's premium was reasonable, and the excellent policy covered my needs.
