A Regular Savings Account is opened automatically when you join Manchester Credit Union. Savings must be made on a regular basis, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly and withdrawals can be made via the App or Members Area.

Savings Account for rainy days

I have beem with Manchester Credit Union for about 6 years. I save a small amount each month and it gives me a lot of peace of mind. I can see my savings grow online, I feel rest assured that if I need to use my savings I can withdraw them without any hassle and know that if I needed extra money I could apply for a credit union loan. Their website is simple to use and provides all the information I need. As an extra bonus every saver is provided with generous life insurance. The life insurance doubles your savings deposits in case of your death to help love ones pay for funeral expenses. Reviewed on: 18th May 2022

A trial will convince you!

Staff always have give a listening ear and are knowledgeable in their field. If a loan is approved you are also encouraged to save! Saving is a great to have financial liberty ……. And the MCU encourages its members with different avenues to do this. Reviewed on: 14th June 2025

mak loans better value but thank you for the savings

Credit union when I first started many years ago was a bargain for loans it was designed to help build the community and give opportunities where they wasn’t now I feel like it’s loans I’m not very good and is just expensive as the High Street. I will see positively it is good when it comes to savings. I saved the majority of my money here when I was buying my first house and was pleasantly surprised by the dividends I received which made up for a lot of unexpected costs and disappointments when I was purchasing my home so although all the loans are not as good the savings are highly recommend recommended Reviewed on: 14th June 2025
