A Regular Savings Account is opened automatically when you join Manchester Credit Union. Savings must be made on a regular basis, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly and withdrawals can be made via the App or Members Area.

Savings Account for rainy days

I have beem with Manchester Credit Union for about 6 years. I save a small amount each month and it gives me a lot of peace of mind. I can see my savings grow online, I feel rest assured that if I need to use my savings I can withdraw them without any hassle and know that if I needed extra money I could apply for a credit union loan. Their website is simple to use and provides all the information I need. As an extra bonus every saver is provided with generous life insurance. The life insurance doubles your savings deposits in case of your death to help love ones pay for funeral expenses. Reviewed on: 18th May 2022

Excellent deal on savings

I am a member of Manchester Credit Union and, these days, I am a saver rather than a borrower. Manchester offers all its members convenient and easy ways to save and by accepting the small savings of people on tight budget contributes to building their financial health and well being . Linking saving to loan repayments is particularly beneficial to many members as it encourages and enables positive savings behaviour. Dividends (or interest) paid on savings in highly competitive and beats the high street banks hands down. It is remarkable that a community financial provider can offer better deals than banks. Manchester Credit Union has also invested significantly in modern technology - so people can view and manage their savings balances online or an an app. This is remarkable.
