Home and content insurance

Been with them for over 5years and is the best value home and content insurance Reviewed on: 5th September 2025

Low premiums for 5 years

I have had home contents insurance with M&S Bank for 5 years and the premiums have stayed very low. That's all I can say, as I have not had to contact them for any reason, let alone make a claim. Reviewed on: 18th June 2025

Got contents only home insurance.

Got contents only home insurance. Very comprehensive policy, easy to understand. Never needed to make a claim (thank goodness!) so no idea about performance with claims. Only negative was their renewal price was much higher with no option to negotiate so went elsewhere to renew Reviewed on: 1st October 2024

Great value

I have had home & contents insurance with M&S Bank for several years. The premium is low and has gone down every year, although there is a lot included. I haven't had to make a claim, though, so I don't know how good they are on that. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2024

Brilliant at addressing problems

M&S Home Insurance were really efficient when i needed to make unforeseen amendments on a temporary basis. Not the cheapest but great cover and customer service. Reviewed on: 24th August 2023

Best contents insurance for those with valuables

I have a lot of art. Every year, I had to go through the arduous task of listing each piece worth more than £1000. Then I discovered the M&S policy, which covers all valuables with a generous single-item limit of £15,000. This has simplified my renewal process. I also had to make a claim one year, and they could not have been more helpful and paid out promptly. I cannot imagine going anywhere else for my insurance now. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Great price and cover for home insurance

I bought my first home in 2021 and shopped around for the best deal on home insurance. As I already have a credit card with M&S, I thought I’d try their home insurance product first. I haven’t looked back. Their price for the year was much cheaper than other providers and it covers everything I want from a home insurance policy. I will continue to have my home insurance with them and will recommend them to family and friends. Reviewed on: 18th August 2023
