Poor returns for savers

My savings account matured, sent forms to put into another account assume it's been done though I've had no correspondence to confirm. New account interest rate not great. Reviewed on: 28th May 2020

Not easy to transfer ISA

Obviously the rates on all finance have been reduced but when I received the new rate for my easy cash ISA it was so lie I added if there were any other ISA's I could transfer it to do I wouldn't lose the tax exemption but was told I that although there was a new fixed rate ISA that would pay 0.70% I couldn't transfer into it was only for new customers. I did not want to lose my years ISA allowance so I decided to transfer my ISA's & then this took much longer as apart from sending pass books back Mansfield did not electronic transfer. Reasonable experience

This investment was set up by a third party company. The main problem we encountered was following a house move when our new address was not accepted by Mansfield Building Society. We had untold problems sorting this out. Reviewed on: 26th May 2020

Sorry to say goodbye

Decided to move my ISA accounts elsewhere due to the interest rate offered being reduced and no longer able to support a local brand as elsewhere I can get double the interest rate with instant access. Reluctant to move to online provider as have been a savings customer with Mansfield since birth. I do have though savings accounts still with Mansfield on behalf of my 2 children. As a society you need to be like any other business competitive within the market place. Reviewed on: 26th May 2020

Ok service

We had to wait 10 minutes although we had an appointment. Processing quite quick once we were seen. As I can remember the days when you just walked through the door and handed money over to open an account the whole appointment system seems a bit of a faff but I guess these are the times we live in.
