Horrible company

Everyone knows that You get what you paid for. MCE is absolutely best example. Its cheap but thats only good thing about it. When it comes to quality of service they are the worse. I had accident which involved driver riding in back of my MC because Ive stopped for red light and crossing pedestrian. Phone them was my big mistake Straight on the ask me to pay for revovery because I am close to home. Ofcourse pushing 296 kg about half mile did make a lot of sense. Secondly MCE had a reason to increase my premium abou 60 % a stripped me from 5 years NCB as they said in case other party counter claims Ofcourse maggots from MCE weren't intrested I had other inssurer liability in writting and dash cam footage. MCE is bottom feeding company with absolutely horrendous customer care. I have two bike and they refused to do multi bike policy only as I think to extort more money of. There is a good ending to it After 5 years with crooks I found other insurer and wont be comming back to MCE scam Reviewed on: 12th August 2021

MCE legally rob you

I bought mce bike ins 2 weeks before my current bike ins ran out. My bike broke down the next day so I decided to cancel the mce ins which wasn’t due to start for 2 weeks. I was charged £50 because they said the policy had to start before I could cancel. They refunded me the balance minus £50 a few days later , a good week before the policy was due to start. Avoid at all cost.

Be prepared to wait at least 45 mins on line to renew, can’t renew on line, telesales folk unhelpful and rude. After research I found a policy with Carole Nash at £40 less. If you are looking for good service then steer well clear Reviewed on: 15th July 2021

High exit fees. Terrible customer service. You'll have to wait for hours to get the information you need. Upon signing up on their website, I purchased motorcycle insurance and nowhere did they ask about a CBT test. Next thing I know, they call me 5 days later. Saying, "Since you don't have a CBT test, and we require that we have to cancel your insurance". Fair enough I said. I didn't realise I have to have that because you don't have it on your website. But you do what you've got to do. So what they did was charge me £97.07. £75 cancellation fee +22.07 for the 5 days my insurance was " active" not only that, I've spent over 3 hours on the phone explaining that it's not fair for them to cancel my insurance because of a misunderstanding on their website and charge me for it. But they said yeah, it is in the terms and conditions, so suck it up. Reviewed on: 13th July 2021

Scam artists at work.

I bought an insurance policy with MCE last month. Agreed to pay the monthly instalment plan. The first payment to be taken was blocked by my stupid bank (only £68.25 - not anything major like £68k). On the same day I called MCE to make the payment, no one will answer the phone. The next day I called and they charge an extra £30 admin fee because my card was declined by my bank. This is not my fault. This is not MCE's fault. But MCE punished me by charging me this extra money. The money isn't the issue, it's the fact that they won't budge on this. Next year when it comes to renew the policy, MCE have lost a customer. Yes they charged me the extra £30 but they won't be selling me anything else in the future. Avoid these people. If I could choose 0 stars...I would!

Avoid MCE at all costs!! Excess charges are way too high. Cancellation fees are stupidly high. Staff are rude, smug and ignorant. There are plenty of other, better companies to use. Initial prices might be competitive, but come accident or cancellation time...you will be STUNG!! Reviewed on: 17th June 2021

Always prefer to insure with MCE

Always prefer to insure with MCE nice and easy and good prices. One thing let the side down this time though, the telephone line was a bit dodgy and the guy had a very heavy accent which made things hard to understand. But we got sorted and I'm happy to be insured for another year for a great price. Reviewed on: 15th June 2021
