Still paying for a bike is haven't seen in 8 months

With Moneybarn – I just got recognised as one of their top fans! Which is weird as this is my review. I've had an account 12 months now and in that time I've seen my vehicle for 4 and a half months. It initially went back to the dealer in the first 4 days due to a broken shift. They replaced. Same issue again (plus others)4.5 months later and they went to complaints after dealer wouldn't admit liability.. found in my favour, after 5 months at the dealer. And stated once id paid to make some basic replacements to get it roadworthy the dealer would be fixing the rest. Moneybarn informed me the case was closed and wouldn't be reopened now and anything else would need to go to the financial ombudsman. We'll apparently it was closed for.me but the dealer could reopen it and did so adding further information supposedly and then moneybarn stated it was all my fault so no repairs would be made. By the stage 6 months have passed Moneybarn gave me the option of my picking up the vehicle or them doing it and adding the cost to my finance. I told them to pick it up. Recieve a cryptic email stating the bike would be taken into stock. Spent an entire week emailing and calling to eventually find out this meant they were going to take it into storage and have it inspected again and then decide what to do... one of the options being they store it until the final payment when the vehicle becomes mine??? No-one can give a straight answer. Complaints won't answer emails and apparently won't take calls. Leaves a very very sour taste as I've now paid over £3800 on a vehicle I've seen and had control of for 4.5 months and the other 7.5 months has been back at the dealer And yet still no answer as to if or when I will see this bike again After leaving a review elsewhere a month ago was told compaints team were going to look into it. 4 weeks later and nothing. Called 8 days ago to find out where my bike is as at this stage it may as well be stolen as noone seems to know whete it is. I was told I'd have a call back next day Nothing. Called again last week to be told tge bike had been inspected, then put up for sale, then put on hold. The customer service rep had no idea what's going on Absolutely disgusted with the lack of customer care or empathy with this company They reply to reviews publicly saying they would get in touch and nothing Reviewed on: 4th November 2024

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Absolutely massive breach of GDPR from this company. Traded my car into a car dealership on PX and they paid moneybarn with the correct reference. Moneybarn have then allocated the funds to the incorrect account sending over senstive information about someone else's finance agreement all whilst still holding me financially responsible for a car that has been categorically paid off. The person their end who did this MUST be sacked for such a serious failure. Do not use this company! Reviewed on: 29th October 2025

Customer experience could be better

I had no issues with the loan for vehicle finance all though rates were high I accept that at the time however I have seen other customers get reductions in rate when they pay with out missing payments this is something I have not had. I settled a few month early and had to argue for confirmation it is settled and they have no interest in vehicle Reviewed on: 1st July 2025

When I wanted car finance and got introduced to this company I had no problems at it all run smooth and I got my car all sorted with in 24 hours all payments sorted and I got my car with in 7 days I would recommend these to anyone and when I want to change my car I will be using this company again Reviewed on: 27th June 2025
