Rooster App

Excellent for money management

Rooster has been a really great addition to our family and has allowed our 3 children to each take ownership of their pocket money. With abilities to create separate savings goals separate to the card ‘pot’ it means they can’t accidentally spend money needed for something else. It also allows the eldest to use ApplePay (Min age 13) with her card. We can lock the accounts from the app and renew contactless payments. Others can also transfer money directly to them for birthdays etc. a slight drawback is the lack of an auto top up of the parent account. You really need to bank transfer into it which adds an unnecessary step but other than that it has been a great way to teach the children about money whilst giving them a bit of freedom to manage it under supervision.
