Review of the NEST, Workplace Pensions:

Degrading , terminally ill, can’t get money back , RUN

I have had to apply for my pension early due to terminal illness , “ I’m 50 this year , I have had to go through utter hell to prove I’m genuine , I paid for a form to be certified and stamped by doctor to confirm terminal illness, because he couldn’t guarantee I will die in a year it was rejected , so I had another form to pay a doctor to sign to say I’m not fit to work again “ because being terminal wasn’t enough ? Then I have had to fill out forms to say I’m retiring? And send them, the staff ,s attitude is disgusting, like I’m asking for a bank loan ? I’m thinking of contacting a government body to bring this to their attention and I think maybe the public’s before others fall for this scam company, my oncologist even wrote supporting letter detailing my cancer “ and because the doctor didn’t tick the box to confirm I’m going to die in a year it was rejected , then I’m not fit to work again now retirement forms ? Awful

So hard to make ammendments, my previous employer has made a mistake in regards to my date of birth and now I don't have access to my pension without jumping through really hard hoops that I just can't be assed with. Reviewed on: 25th March 2023

A trustworthy workplace pension

Even though it's fairly mandatory I've found Nest easy to navigate and use. I'm happy with the fees which seem reasonable and the service I've received when transferring other pensions in to be sound and reliable. Reviewed on: 30th January 2023

Headache

They couldn't of made it more complicated if they tried. Slow poorly designed website. Cant pay over the phone and it can take 5 days for online payments to clear! As an employer I would strongly suggest using another pensions site. Reviewed on: 25th August 2022
