I have been with the Newbury for many years and they have consistently displayed amazing customer service, excellent advice, patience and kindness. Nothing has ever been too much trouble and when many other societies would not help, the Newbury did and excelled. When the computer in other institutions 'said no', the Newbury's said 'yes' ! On on completion day there were problems...

On completion day, additional documents were needed from our conveyancer although we received a welcome email the day before telling us everything was ready. Completion was delayed by 1.5 hours and it was a very stressful time. The sellers up the chain were threatening to charge us interest. Newbury need to make sure that everything is in place for the loan before completion day. This has knocked our confidence Reviewed on: 14th February 2025

Completion delay

Good up to completion. New compliance officer demanded additional paperwork delaying the completion. Very stressful and should not have happened. Reviewed on: 14th February 2025

Remortgaging to Newbury was a Great Choice

We were remortgaging to Newbury from another lender via a broker, but the interactions we had with Newbury BS staff was excellent throughout the process. I received my telephone appointment with Angela Burton from your Newbury branch and she was extremely helpful and explained all products clearly. She even managed to find a better rate of interest after the appointment and called me back to inform me. Reviewed on: 24th January 2025
