I took out car insurance with one-call and cancelled after 3 days and got charged £49.99, what a rip-off Would not recommend these cowboys to anyone, stay away from one-call, also you can not speak to anyone, have to wait in a queue on-line. Reviewed on: 20th July 2022

If you want the worst company to insure with , One call insurance is it ,paid a premium not to lose my no claims I was hit by a wagon which did not stop and I was unable to get any details ,so when I made a claim I was told due to me not being in possession of the other vehicle,s details I would lose my no claims ,even though I had paid a premium not to ,load of shysters ,took me 5 hours to be told that avoid this load of rubbish. You will never speak to a person

you will never speak to a person, its all done with messages, I had to get in touch twice and both times i was on hold (for a message) for 45 minute and one for 60 minutes, cancelled a policy with them after 3 months (sold the motor) they said I was not due a refund because of admin charges??? I have one policy with them and soon as that runs out I will go else where, would hate to think what grief I would get if ever had to do a claim??! Reviewed on: 15th July 2022

Increased the cost by 50%

Quoted me a price for car insurance took my deposit. They then increased the cost by 50% When l asked to cancel the policy,they changed £50 even though I was told l had 14days to change my mind and cancel. Also cannot speak to them by phone or email. Reviewed on: 15th July 2022

You can only deal with them online. Chat takes ages to pick up and if you move away from the screen to work on something else while you wait, it closes. Finally got through and was told that I'd be charged £49.99 to cancel policy started 5 days before! How can that be right? Reviewed on: 13th July 2022

ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!

A week after my breakdown this cowboy insurance company have rang me to tell me that my breakdown was not covered by their Gold Breakdown cover. Something had kicked up off the road and broke my fuel line, they classed this as a RTA because my car had been hit by something. I am now being landed with a big bill for the recovery, I paid for the repair at the time otherwise I would have had to make my own way home which was over 50 miles away. For two hours I was stuck on a sliproad in 28'C, being passed from pillar to post on the phone trying to explain just what had happened and the only correspondence since that day a week ago is a call to tell me that I will have to pay the recovery bill. They are good at taking the money and sending the constant emails stating just how they could save me money but it's just BS, the truth is when you try to claim. Reviewed on: 13th July 2022

Took from 31st May to July 12th to sort out a theft made me feel like a criminal so stressful had to ring them twice to be told they were still investigating then came back with a ridiculous payout accepted 2nd one but still not happy but couldn't cope with anymore stress Reviewed on: 12th July 2022

Purchased a Ranger from Derby in Dec last year. Insured with one call. All good. We did nothing to the vehicle. Picked it up, drove it home. A month ago needed to make a claim due to damage to the rear door. Started a claim. Only to have it rejected due to "modifications" we have put on. We haven't put ANY modifications on the vehicle. We took a picture of the car the day we picked it up and there is nothing on the invoice that states there are modifications to the vehicle. Cosmetic or performance related. Not only that they lied to me saying that they had the original advert from the dealer which states there are modifications. I contacted the dealer who said that the ad was taken down the day we picked it up so therefore someone is telling porkies. Nowhere on the ad or invoice does it state modifications have been made to the vehicle. I wish we had listened to the reviews. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. In this case DO NOT INSURE ANY VEHICLE WITH THIS COMPANY! Reviewed on: 12th July 2022

I was with them for two years, however, after the year before being quite high i decided to shop around. I found it way cheaper and better cover. They would not let me go and kept offering me cover over chat that was a lot more expensive. Eventually they accepted this but then started to add cost onto my end of renewal. Only with a threat to complain did they take it off. But guess what they have just taken a large amount out of my account the next month when I am no longer with them. It has been a terrible experience with them and I am still waiting to get my refund after an apology from them. read the other reviews and do not deal with them you will regret it later Reviewed on: 30th June 2022

Shocking customer service, no telephone communication, online chat only. Ridiculous cancellation fees. Cheap for a reason, then try to inflate your insurance premium. Reviewed on: 29th June 2022
