One Call is all you get when you make a Claim

Ok until you make a claim, No Communication just on line Chat. When my car was recently written off by a Third Party I only had one phone call from the Legal Expenses Department and no further communication. Only by on line Chat. When a policyholder has an accident he or she should be treated with concern and some compassion and what can be traumatic experience. I received no offer for my car in settlement until set a chat message chasing the same to be told that I had been sent an offer by email which I did not receive even when asked to check my spam folder. Surely offers should be made by phone. There was not once any updates shown on the claims portal in the 8 weeks following the claim other than all documents forwarded to the claims department had been received and that nothing further was required from me. The last letter received confirmed that One Call Claims would not be pursuing this claim further and that I could approach the Motor Insurance Bureau to try and recover my uninsured losses, ie £500 policy excess. Isn't this what I have paid legal expenses cover for and the 'Legal Team should be doing this for me? Overall I don't think One Call have treated me fairly. Reviewed on: 10th October 2025

I had a better Insurance offer from another company...

I had a better Insurance offer from another company but as i have been with One Call for a number of years i rang to see if they could better that offer, the agent i spoke to was very polite and very informative and after going through my Policy with me and making one or two slight tweaks she managed to bring down the oringinal qoute beating the other compaany's offer by a fair margin. The only downside to my experience was trying to finding their telephone number in the "Contact Us" section of the website. I could text, live chat or email but i could'nt find a telephone number, one to one talking is what i am most comfortable with, as i find it easier to explain myself. The name One Call is what originally attracted me to the company but you are very much challenged in trying to make that "one call" Once your through to them the staff are really good at their job and If this one drawback could be retified I would have no negitive observations what so ever.
