PayPal Credit Just Got Better

For a long time, PayPal Credit has been one of the most convenient ways to spread the cost of purchases. One of its biggest advantages is the option to pay over four months interest-free on eligible purchases, making it a flexible alternative to many traditional credit cards. The main limitation was that it was designed primarily for online shopping through PayPal. That meant you could not simply walk into a shop and use your PayPal Credit balance for everyday purchases. With the introduction of the new physical PayPal Credit card, that has changed. You can now use your PayPal Credit in stores wherever Mastercard is accepted, making it much more practical for daily spending. Whether you are buying groceries, electronics, or paying at a local retailer, the same credit line is now available in person as well as online. In my opinion, this is a significant improvement. It gives users much more flexibility without changing the core benefits of PayPal Credit. The four month interest free offer on eligible purchases remains one of its strongest features, provided the terms are met and payments are made on time. Overall, the new PayPal Credit card makes the service far more useful than before. It combines the convenience of PayPal with the everyday usability of a traditional credit card, giving customers more choice in how and where they spend. Reviewed on: 2nd July 2026
