PayPal Pay in 3 is a Buy Now, Pay Later option that lets eligible UK customers split the cost of an online purchase into three interest-free instalments.

There are no interest, setup or late fees for eligible purchases, and eligible transactions are covered by PayPal Buyer Protection.

Spread costs

Pay in 3 is a very useful way to buy goods and spread the cost over 3 payments. This allows you to receive the goods immediately whilst giving you time to save or earn the next two payments. You do however need to be responsible and know that you can meet the payments. Some people may overstretch themselves and end up in trouble.That wouldn’t be paypals fault however. I always have enough money in my account to pay for goods in one payment but use pay in 3 because the service is available. Reviewed on: 8th July 2026
