Just joined PetProtect to cover my 14 week old puppy.

Just joined PetProtect to cover my 14 week old puppy. Unfortunately he came down with a sickness yesterday. Theres a 15 day period in which you aren’t covered- my puppy was roughly 4/5 hours away from being covered and out of this two week period yet PetProtect are adamant in not paying out despite being so close, and describe it as a ‘pre-existing condition’ for 5 hours! Dreadful Experience

Dreadful experience with Pet Protect. I had insured my labrador with them for over 7 years. We discovered she has lumps which the vet advised were potentially cancerous and having spoken to Pet Protect customer services agreed we could go ahead with an operation. After the operation we were advised that the type of cancer was not not covered and we had to pay for the whole treatment. This was all incredibly distressing. Reviewed on: 7th September 2023

Had to cancel as renew price too high

Had to cancel as renew price too high, yet when I went on comparison site they were offering sane cover just £50 cheaper! I spoke to an adviser about this and they said they couldn’t do anything about it, so I ended up not auto renewing and set up a new policy. If this happens again next year I will try diff company regardless of the price! Reviewed on: 4th July 2023

Shocking company with uneducated staff

Steer clear of this company! We insured our girl with them 8 years ago, started at 45 a month went up to just short of 140 a month by the point of cancelling, each claim we made was declined! Before the last operation my partner spoke to an advisor who informed that asking as the condition (lump in groin area) had not had treatment in the last 6 months we would be covered! Straight forward cover

Fortunately we haven’t had to claim yet, but it was simple to set up with great choices depending of the level of cover needed. Excellent value and the 24/7 bet/nurse for advice is brilliant. Reviewed on: 4th May 2023
