Hi I had the same issue myself of Pockit closing my account for review on august 3 . The account had almost 4000 pounds , after they closing it for reviews they been in touch asking me for evidence of my deposit which I have provided , they took 2 weeks for the reviews ? But at the end they open my account and all the money was there , I think they are just short of staff . I was also worried because of all the reviews I saw . But at the end everything got sorted . PLEASE AVOID POCKIT!

I opened a pockit account as there are no banks left where I live, and it seemed easy to go to the post office to a pay point to deposit any cash into an account. I only really use the account for small cash deposits and so my parents can transfer money to me to help with food and bills, as I’m a single mum. On Sunday 1st September, my dad put £300 into my pockit account and when I went to transfer the money, a notice came up that my account was under review and I couldn’t access my money and my card is on hold. They requested various documents and information, which I immediately sent to them, and they said it would probably take 2-4 days to complete the review. I had no warning about this. I understand that some monitoring of accounts like this need to take place, but why can I not access the money first. I have emailed repeatedly and tried to find a phone number for them, with no joy. The only response to my emails are automated, and one saying that my money is safe! I have no money now, and no food! There is no other way to contact them. Their customer service is appalling and to only have an email address as a point of contact is ridiculous. I have no access to my money and no end in sight. There is a phone number on the back of my card, which doesn’t work. You are totally at their mercy. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS COMPANY! Reviewed on: 7th September 2024

After writing such a positive email just this morning, somehow I’ve managed to change my mind. I have had pockit for 3 years now roughly and it’s been absolutely brilliant. I yesterday received a sum of money from a family member (in which I have sent you copies of messages, screenshots, all sorts) for a new car. The bank was fine, absolutely nothing wrong. Went today to purchase a car and still everything was fine. Until this afternoon, where I have had an email saying my account is under review. This isn’t a small sum of money.. I haven’t heard anything back and I’ve read numerous posts about your “reviews” online. My mental health has deteriorated massively and the worry is sickening. I haven’t the funds to pay for anything now and something needs done about it. I have collected all reviews and please believe that I’ll be taking this to the ombudsman if things aren’t sorted. It’s horrendous how you don’t even give any warning. I’d be more than happy to have my account reviewed.. just some pre warning. My family member has contacted their bank explaining that the money is legitimate and we have sent everything you’ve asked for and we are still left hanging. As a registered pockit user who even had the advances option etc, I demand a manager looks into my case asap. I loved this account and I am heartbroken that you would treat me like this as a loyal customer for almost 3 years. How dare you make me and my family feel this way with absolutely no prior warning. I would give it a zero rating if I could, please anyone with common sense DO NOT sign up with PockIt they will drive you into stress and depression it’s nearly been a month since they randomly locked my account after being a loyal customer over 6 years, i got a random review for nothing.. sent over my details as requested the since then been told it’s “being closed as a business decision”, my child’s mother gone missing, i can’t handle this stress no more Reviewed on: 20th August 2024

If i could rate zero..i would. Froze my account of over 2 years. .for verification the day before my payday. All my documents have been sent in.. and got told 5 more days. I should have been paid today... they still accepted the bacs transfer into my account. .knowing that i wouldn't have access to it. Im now here with a 7 year old kid. .. cant get my money. . Cant pay put electric or gas on the meter..and will struggle to actually feed me and my child by the weekend. No contact number. .emails only. Sent them 50 in the past day... had one reply..telling me to stop emailing them... or they would block my email address. Im sure its not legal to deny me access to benifits payments. This company should be investigated for fraud and theft AVOID AT ALL COSTS So now ignoring my emails. Over 24 hours. . Not one email back. Left me completely in the dark Reviewed on: 8th March 2024

Pockit do not care.I was the lucky one dont fall for there scams

Have been a customer of Pockit since 2017 and have had no problems up until now.On the 31st of August I had my card scammed and money was taken to buy shares from a company called kraken exchange it's a bitcoin company to the sum of £916.Contact has been made with pockit and a charge back form has been sent back to them with all the imformation that was required at that time. Giving pockit the benefit of the doubt it does take some time for an investigation to take place and the charge back to be made to my account but I have all fingers crossed that this will not be a problem. However I have the financial Ombudsman and the PSI-PAY LTD on stand by if I need to go down that road lets just hope and pray that is not needed.I must stress guys that you need to keep and eye on your account and if so block it so scams/Frauds like this do not happen to you.Looking forward to a positive out come Pockit August 21st Update After three weeks and many emails a charge back has now been credited to my account and taken out and put into a bank I can trust.Guys do NOT have large amounts of money put into pockit or the out come might not be good for you.As for me I was very lucky and will NOT be caught out like that again Reviewed on: 24th December 2023
