I have had a works pension with them for 10 years no...

I have had a works pension with them for 10 years now and always found them to be helpful when I have had questions needing answers. Their customer service is first class and they action everything right away. They keep me informed on changes etc and overall I’m extremely happy being with them. I receive a statement every year to show how they are performing etc. I feel valued as a customer and would highly recommend the company. Reviewed on: 24th August 2024

PRUDENTIAL JUST DO NOT PAY OUT YOUR PENSION

I paid my pension to pru for 37 years retiring on 1st July,2023. Still waiting for my lump sum and annuity,spent over 100 hours on the phone without success, we have a backlog,processing delays, systems down, every excuse possible, 3 complaint upheld by them but no money, last week they asked me to pay them £39-02p so they could process my payment but there is a delay in actioning the payment as they have a backlog, four and a half months and still waiting, DO NOT USE THE PRU USELESS WASTE OF SPACE. i should have put my money under the matress then there would not be delay. Every time totry to phone them-your call is important we will be with you shortly i.e. an hour if you are lucky. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, TOTAL RUBBISH. I WISH I HAD NEVER USED THE MAN FROM THE PRU. You have to be super wealthy to purchase Prudential Annuities

It has been a nightmarish experience waiting on a monthly basis as to whether I would get my direct deposit payment into my bank account from Prudential on time! At the beginning of every month, I pray that it would not be a just a few days delay or even a week later before I get my benefits from Prudential! Hope it is not a cash -flow problem with Corporate Prudential! They even try to blame my bank for processing it late! However, I have several direct deposit from several entities on a monthly basis that is right on target date every month without any problem like with Prudential Annuity Payment, so go figure!?! So if you are counting on your annuity pay-out after years of waiting on your so-called great Prudential Annuity investments, think again! Reviewed on: 4th October 2023

worst quoted company ive ever had to deal with

Prudential have deliberately delayed pension payments one of their key modus operandi cliients are waiting 6-9months past due date certain fa will not entertain dealing with them because of slow paperwork most of the paperwork is generated in mumbai.the dullards they employ are another way to stop you gaining access once they have stolen your money under false pretences you will find it extremely difficult with a long torturous path to get it back they work on the principle your money is now their money Reviewed on: 21st July 2023

Unacceptable

I was mis sold a pension by Prudential in 1981 (was lied to about benefits, guarantees etc). But, because this was pre-regulation time, I discovered that there was nothing I could do about this, and continued paying into this, as advised by them, otherwise I would have lost 10 years’ of payments. Through the years, I never managed to get a first time straight answer to anything from them. Now it is time to take out this pension. I have been trying since October 2019 to get an actual quote of what I was due: keep getting long (5 page +) letters showing ‘illustrations’, ‘estimates’ but no hard facts. Every time I try and ring have to wait a minimum 45 minutes to get through (minimum 20 minutes pre Covid) and never manage to get a straight or useful answer, again. The irony is that, if one tries to contact them through their online portal, they are advised to ring ‘for quicker response’!!! I now have engaged an IFA to chase them. He found out that the documents I was sent did not include a product code, apparently essential. Again, tried to ring them to request this: was told that I was placed on a ‘waiting list’ to call back ‘in about 15 days’! looking at this thread, it is obvious that they are doing everything possible to stall the cashing of the policies. And, on top of that, they informed me that I cannot access my funds without first having proof of having received ‘financial advice’, which would cost about£5,000 (pay that to get my money!!!). Funny though how they seem to be quick and on the ball when it comes to online PR: quick with platitudes there. Unacceptable!!! Reviewed on: 22nd July 2020

I am very thankful for the 2.50 interest

I am thankful for the 2.50% interest rate on my account as most institutions aren't even giving 1% I also like that I always receive very timely statements Reviewed on: 14th April 2015
