Met a lovely chap called Lewis H in the Colchester branch this afternoon as I was looking to open a new account after the Yorkshire Building Society is closing in Frinton. Really quick service in Colchester. It is always nice to go into the branch and speak with someone. Lauryn was helpful and spent a bit of time with me talking me through the queries I had about some issues with my passbook. Reviewed on: 17th June 2025

Easy service and helpful in Colchester

Excellent telephone customer service.

I was having difficulty getting my current account verified in order to get my savings account with Saffron opened,, with emails going back and forward going round and round in circles, responses almost robotic like. However, I then called and spoke to this fantastic and knowledgeable lady today, who clearly understood the problem and addressed the issue immediately, account now opened. Didn’t catch her name but so glad I phoned as was getting nowhere by email, so many many thanks to her, super professional and super smart and knowledgeable, I wish I had called before. Helpful, friendly service

Only recently took out a savings account with them but I can't praise them enough. Excellent interest rates and the staff are so friendly and helpful. They really take the time to talk to you and explain the options. After a year as a member you have access to loyalty accounts. I found the web site easy to use but pop into a branch (we went to Halstead) and you will receive a warm welcome. Reviewed on: 16th June 2025
