Your website is slow and not user friendly. You send out emails too early about maturing accounts but then cannot set the maturity instructions. Sophia sorted me out but it was not possible online. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Superb Customer Service!

I requested a call back from the Saffron Building Society on the 5th March 2026 as I needed a little assistance completing a new account application form. I received a call from the Customer Support Team the following morning and spoke to Chi. What followed was a pleasant, unhurried and extremely informative conversation. At no point did I feel I was taking up too much of Chi's time and she was happy to explain, in as much detail as was required, what I needed to do in order to complete the application process. Really excellent advice throughout. Chi also took the trouble to explain that I could get further help and advice, either from within the Saffron Building Society or from an external partner, if I was unsure which product to choose from an excellent range. On the basis of Chi's advice I completed the application without any issues at all within about 5 minutes. Thereafter, within approximately an hour, I received emails confirming how the account I chose should be operated and also account details. This is banking at its best and proves to me that building society accounts are so much more user friendly than standard high street bank accounts where the personal touch appears to have completely disappeared. A big thank you to Chi for her time and patience when I spoke to her on the phone this morning. I look for forward to many years of banking with the Saffron Building Society. Excellent help over phone

I was confused about what to do with the money in a 1-year bond when it matured. The web site wasn't helpful but I received excellent help from Sarah over the phone. In fact she sorted everything out for me. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026
