All policies have an uninsured driver promise protecting your no claims discount and no excess to pay if you're hit by an uninsured driver. Depending on the policy, there are extras you can add on to the policy to provide more protection.

Competitive price for car insurance

I have just renewed my car insurance with Saga for the second year. They are the only Company that didn't put up the price when they sent me my Renewal Notice (unlike others I've used in the past). I think a lot of these Companies rely on the "can't be bothered to change - so will renew with them again" attitude. The price of £146 for fully comprehensive was the best price for me. I did put my details in a Price Comparison site just to see what was on offer, but Saga came out the best price for the extras it offers i.e. courtesy car etc. They have a UK based call centre - they answer very quickly and you are not passed from one person to another. I would definitely recommend Saga for motor insurance. I would like to add a foot note - last week someone backed into my car whilst it was parked outside my house. The service I got from Saga was excellent - they arranged for my car to be picked up for the damage to be repaired next day and also arranged another car for me with Enterprise Car Hire. This was all done within 24 hours of reporting it - I'm very impressed with the service. Reviewed on: 9th August 2015

Blood everywhere !.

I was with Saga a few years back and they were brilliant. We also had house insurance. I had a terrible experience which involved a great deal of blood in the bed, on carpets, squirted around walls, etc. My wife phoned your helpline almost in hysterics and the lady on the line calmed her down and sorted everything out while i was wheeled off to hospital. I have insured my car with Saga for many years, they have always provided excellent service. There is always a person on the end of the phone to answer any queries, which is a tremendous advantage when one is getting older. True, Real Value For Money Insurance.

I have insured a total of 22 cars with a number of insurers, but I have gone back to Saga this year, not for the first time, as I keep finding that they are the most friendly and considerate where the elderly are involved.
