Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Value for money car insurance that doesn't try to rip you off. A friendly, knowledgeable person is always there on the end of a phone if you need assistance, unlike other insurers. And they speak proper English, instead of broken English poeple that you can't understand with other insurers. My car insurance has always come down each year sinse being with Saga, and would recommend to anybody over 50 ... excellent service that's not out to rip.you off Reviewed on: 31st August 2025
