Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Moving to saga insurance

I transferred to saga from my old insurance company who wanted to charge me double the previous year value on my car after looking around I found saga insurance two years ago and have paid the same costs which were actually less than my old insurance before they doubled the quote saga have kept in touch with offers and updates Reviewed on: 14th August 2025
